Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how UAB Secology processes your personal data when you use the website secology.eu, in particular when you fill in the contact form on the website. The policy has been prepared in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter — GDPR).
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is:
- UAB Secology, Company registration number 306633026, VAT number LT100016505114
- Registered office address: Girulių g. 10, LT-12112 Vilnius, Lithuania
- Email: info@secology.eu
- Phone: +370 659 05436
- The company was registered in the Register of Legal Entities on 2023-11-24
2. What data we collect and for what purpose
We collect data on the website only through the contact form, when you decide to contact us yourself. In the form, we ask you to provide the following data:
- first name (required);
- email address (required);
- the company you represent (required);
- the service you are interested in (optional);
- a free-text message (optional).
This data is collected for the sole purpose of contacting you, responding to your enquiry and, where relevant, preparing a commercial proposal or initiating negotiations for the provision of services.
3. Legal basis for processing data
We process the data you submit through the contact form on the following grounds set out in Article 6(1) GDPR:
- point (b) — processing is necessary in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (when you contact us regarding services or a proposal);
- point (f) — our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry and conducting commercial communication with the person who initiated it.
4. Recipients and processors of data
The contact form data is, technically, processed by:
- Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA) – the data processor of the form, which technically receives and forwards the form content to us. Formspree receives all fields submitted in the form, as well as technical metadata – your IP address and browser information. As Formspree operates in the USA, your data is transferred outside the European Union / EEA. This transfer is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, entered into with Formspree.
- Umami – a website traffic statistics service. It receives only anonymised, aggregated data about visits; it does not process personal data, does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses.
We do not transfer your data to any other third parties, unless this is necessary to comply with legal requirements (e.g. a lawful request from a state authority).
5. Data retention period
We store contact form data for 24 months from your last contact with us, unless a service agreement is concluded during this period. If the cooperation develops into a contractual relationship, the data continues to be processed for the periods laid down for the performance of the contract and related legislation (e.g. accounting). Once the retention period has expired, the data is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
- the right to access your personal data being processed;
- the right to request rectification of inaccurate data;
- the right to erasure of data (the 'right to be forgotten');
- the right to restrict processing of data;
- the right to data portability;
- the right to object to processing of data where it is based on legitimate interest.
To exercise these rights, please contact us by email info@secology.eu. We will respond to your request no later than within one month of its receipt.
7. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that your personal data is being processed in breach of GDPR requirements, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
- State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija)
- Address: L. Sapiegos g. 17, LT-10312 Vilnius, Lithuania
- Email: ada@ada.lt
- Phone: +370 5 271 2804
8. Cookies and traffic statistics
The website secology.eu does not use cookies. You will therefore not see a cookie consent banner — there is simply nothing to consent to.
For general website traffic statistics, we use Umami — a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, does not create browser fingerprinting and does not track you across other websites. Only anonymised, aggregated data is collected: how many times a page was opened, from which country, on what type of device, and from which website the visit originated. It is not possible to identify you personally from this data.
Legal basis for processing — legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how our website is used, and in improving it.
9. Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we receive from unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. Access to contact form data is limited to those SECOLOGY employees for whom it is necessary in order to process your enquiry.
Important: in the free-text message field, please do not send passwords, details of vulnerabilities, lists of IP addresses, system logs, network diagrams, or other sensitive operational information relevant to your organisation's security. The contact form is not intended for transmitting such information and is not designed to be secure for that purpose.
10. Updates to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to the website or legal requirements. The current version of the policy is always published on this website.
